| That appears to be a chinese elm although the leaves are a bit hard to see in the picture. First off, it needs to be outside. Water it daily in the warm season and then keep moist once temps lower. fertilize twice month during the growing season with a half strength balanced feed. There is an entry for chinese elm in the a to z if you are a registered member. |

| I couldn't download your photograph for some reason so had to wait for someone to identify it. Steve says that its Chinese elm and his advice is spot on for the UK. I would add that its usual to allow shoots to develop five to seven new leaves and then to trim back to the second or third leaf, whichever points in the direction that you would like further extension to grow. Repeating this throughout the growing season improves the shape and ramification. Whereabouts are you? I might be able to put you in touch with someone nearby. |
