OK

Ive been to my local Garden centre and they actually stock a few bonsai Smile

They have the following :-

Chinese Rose £82 about 15" high, very big
Chinese Elm £77 about 13" high, looks abit tatty
Banyan Fig £59 again about 13" looks ok
Pepper Tree £47 looked abit tatty

So what im asking is, which is probably the best to buy??

You want it for keeping indoors don't you. I'd go for the fig, the easiest in the list and we know quite a bit about them.

I also vote for the fig for indoor cultivation. It's a fast grower and will be fairly easy for care.

Hello.

Interested to see which one you choose.

The fig trees in Tesco the other day were small but a much more affordable price for me. I wasn't able to get one that day, but will see whether they are still there the next time I go. They obviously weren't trained as bonsai but would be starter material.

Good luck with yours.
