Hi, I bought an Olea europaea, an olive bonsai. It ain't a bad tree as I think I can work with it, it still need some pruning. I will post a pic soon.
I read a few bit on the internet. They are fast growers. I will start to feed it next week.
BTW any advice about propagation? I read that they will root in water.
Any general advice for them?
Cheers,
JB. |

We call them tender evergreen JB but you shouldn't be in trouble with the temperature requirements. Minimum 7C (45F)
Water on alternate days. Our usual feeding regime is okay but I would get it used to your particular conditions before starting.
Cuttings are reported to be easy. I would use a sandy compost rather than straight in water. A plastic bag over the cutting to maintain humidity until first signs of movement are seen. |
