As you can probably gather from the pics my Chinese Privet has lots of new lush leaves which I find very encouraging. To me it looks healthier than ever. Some of the leaves are quite big and I'm wondering if it would be safe to prune yet? If so can someone give me advice on how to do so?

It would be good to reduce those new shoots, the ones with lengthening greenish stems, to a point just above the second leaf, Thus preserving the overall shape and encouraging early branching and subsequent foliage density.

The pruning will encourage growth elsewhere on the branch as well.

That's a nice privet. Have you thought about a full subscription to the forum so you can post pics in "The Classroom"? There are lots of informative/helpful articles there also. Keep up the good work!
