hi everyone i am new to this site. i have had a juniper for about 4-5 months now. The owner of the store i bought it from failed to mention it was an outdoor plant. after reading a few posts today i feel like an idiot because i have done everything to help it from dying or turning brown. what do i do now. its been sitting at a window all this time. i have watered it correctly from what i have read and yet its is still failing. i am a college student and have no way of keeping my best friend alive. tell me what to do please. My tree is what keeps me happy and smiling in this place. by the way, have i developed an unhealthy relationship with my tree? I'm allowed to have loving feeling about my tree right??? |

Welcome to bonsai help!
The best thing you could do for your juni would be to put it outside. If left indoors it will eventually die.
I don't mean to be fatalistic but junipers are usually long dead before the foliage starts to turn brown. Try scratching a little of the bark with your fingernail, if it is green or white underneath there is still hope for your tree.
P.s. It is perfectly normal to love your tree! I love all 114 of my trees( does that make me a polygamist, or just sad?)

| You can attach it to the window ledge if you don't have a garden |
