how do i know when to give up on my tree.
its had no leaves for 3 weeks now and no new ones ar growing |

If you try scratching a little of the bark back with your fingernail, if it is brown underneath then give up on it because its dead . If it is green or white underneath persevere with it as it is still alive and may well start to put on new growth in the future  |

| i checked its green. should i prune any of the branches as they feel very dry and brittle |

| If they are brown under the bark it will not hurt to cut them back, cut back to live wood(green under the bark) and put some wound sealant on |
