How can i trim the tree so that the branches i have get no longer and make it back bud etc? i was told to cut the "Candles" when they appear but i dont see any it just grows leaves and the branches are getting longer, i aint sure what to do, im fine with trimming my sageretia, elms etc but this tree confuses me at the best of times Embarassed

is the candles the leaves that appear before they open if that makes sense Confused
