Hi everyone, thought i'd introduce myself.
My name's Andy and i work as a head gardener in Brighton, UK. Been keeping bonsai on and off for 20 years now and i'm just starting to build up my collection after totally neglecting my trees last year.
I have around 20 reasonably nice trees (well i like them anyway !) and some youngsters that i'm bringing on.
I'll try to get a pic up

Hi Jevs
nice to meet another gardener, albeit of a different kind. WHich garden do you work in?
Nice collection of trees there - I like your "stands" - mine are all on a very warped bit of plyboard held up on bricks!

I'm head gardener for a 2.5 acre council owned rock garden right on the entrance to Brighton which has a large pond plus a huge waterfall as well as many different species of mature shrubs and trees. I'm just building up a nice alpine display too.
The "stands" are just temporary. I am just starting to build a 12' x 12' x 6' koi pond where the trees are now. The bonsai will sit around the edge of the pond along with traditional japanese garden ornaments such as pagodas, temples, lanterns and buddahs....all these i make at home from concrete using moulds.

Looking forward to seeing that deshojo Andy, where did you get it from?
Are the moulds that you make the ornaments from single use or could you job a few out?
Best wishes and nice to know you.
John. |

| Sounds like a good side job. Plenty of perks when you consider all the free ornaments and such. Good luck with it. |
