| Can someone please offer urgent info ! i just bought a bonsai tree from a local store at home, in romania. it is a normal garden store but they happened to have bonsai trees as well. they don't carry any type of soil i can buy. the little guy doesn't seem to like it outside in the sun...the leave start to wilter immediately. he likes it in my room near the window but i ahve no idea how much to water him, if i should change the pot, etc etccc...i would be glad to send a pic of him to those who can figure out what type of a bonsai he is. i reckon he's a ficus bonsai...not sure but i do have a good pic of him i can send. i love the little guuy and always wanted a bonsai tree. i don't want to see him perish:) please send some comments. thanks!!!!! |

welcome to BH alinosity
knowing what kind of tree (a pic) will help. was it out side when you got it? repotting is usually done in fall to early spring as they are getting ready to grow for most trees. if it is a tropical plant (indoors) repotting can be anytime but spring is best. keep it watered and get some pic so we can see it |

The tree does not have to be in full sun. It can live outdoors in a place where the morning or late afternoon are sunny and that will keep it from wilting. Also, wilting is caused by a lack of water at the roots. Try to get on a regular watering schedule. My outdoor trees get watered every day during the summer months.
Also, if you have a ficus, be prepared for it to drop some leaves. they do not like ot be moved from location to location, even if they are indoors. |

| I'm in Yorkshire England and my figs are outside at present. They're doing very well there but may have to come in out of the cold later in September. Submit your photograph to a hosting site like Photobucket and let us have the address here so that we can download it. A positive identification is essential. Be soon. =Don. |

HI5 is asking for a password so I haven't seen your pic. I can't understand your refusal by a free hosting site like photobucket. |

| Use the PM button to write and send pics bottom left of posts between profile and Email. This will only be visible by the addressee. In my case that's stymie. You can PM anyone else on the site using their username but it's private.. |

| A suggestion is to post on a free hosting site like photobucket.com. This way everyone can view the picture and give suggestions. No password is needed for those who wish to view. |

| Alinosity's MAC won't play ball Ed. hence the need for Email or PM. The security might be set a bit too high. |

If he emails them to you, Stymie, could you put them into the thread for him? |

Believe it or not, I don't have an account with photobucket myself. I'm prepared to open one if necessary.
For the benefit of all:- This problem doesn't occur for full members, who may post pictures directly into any of the other forums on site. |
