Hi! Just yesterday I bought a Chinese Elm bonsai and what I'm told is a lemon tree. I would very much like to have both of these indoors. Is that possible? I have always wanted to pursue this as a hobby and am so excited, but must admit I have no idea where to start...watering, fertilizing, pruning, re-potting...I definitely need advice from an expert. The gentleman who sold these to me tells me I need to put the lemon tree outside when it flowers or I will not get fruit, but claims it can be kept indoors the rest of the time. Any help you can give me will be so appreciated.

If you want the best for your trees then the answer is no. Both the trees should be placed outside (unless you live in a very cold place that stays cold even during the summer!).
If you want an indoor tree then you are better off with a semi - tropical / tropical plant like Carmona, Serissa (although very difficult), fig, or, what I believe to be a popular choice your side of the pond is a Schefflera (also known also as umbrella plant).
Please feel free to read the many threads on how to care for you tree, I'm sure the information will help you with the care of your trees

I second GioGio's suggestion.
May I draw your attention to the thread addressed to first time posters above. It helps us to know where you live and what the trees are planted in etc. Then we can be more specific with any advice. Come back with any information. Meanwhile water them enough to keep them just moist and don't attempt to feed them or anything else until they are settled to your routine. Read as much bonsai related material as you can lay hands on. This would have been best before you got them but you'll soon catch up. Welcome to this absorbing pastime.

I would recommend one of the many ficus' for an indoor tree. They are quite forgiving and make quite stunning bonsai.
