Hello and thank you, John, for the information about Satsuki. Excellent!
I was looking for the name of the pattern on my plant's petals and came across this "Glossary of Terms". Perhaps you already know of it.

My plant has petals with a fine spray of specks radiating from the centre of each one.
The seller dosn't know what variety it is. A neighbour had plants damaged and uprooted in the gales of a few years back and was asked if he would let the seller collect the damaged ones: the little plant originated from them.

Hi Penny,
Unfortunately there are so many hybrid satsukis these days that to idntify you variety accurately would be nearly impossible. However, I do have a hybrid manual that has photos of many satsukis. I'll look through it to see what ones approximate your flowers. No guarantees of them being correct though! |

Thanks very much, Dick. The flowers are such a lovely deep salmon colour. As you say, they could be hybrid. Look forward to whatever information you can dig up.
