A while ago there was a guy on saying he'd gotten this bonsai as a gift, and wasn't sure what it was doing now. He showed a picture of it, and for the most part, it looked like a pretty healthy tree that just needed some dead stuff removed and a bit of clean-up. It was a juniper. His question was regarding the new growth it was getting, which looked like a slightly yellow-ish white.

His answer was that the new growth was bad and should be removed. We asked if he had looked for pests, and I don't remember the rest.

I was at a garden center yesterday and saw a bush for sale called a "Variegated Juniper" which had perfectly healthy yellowish-white growth mixed in with healthy green growth that looked exactly like what this guy showed us. I am convinced that his tree was not unhealthy whatsoever. I don't remember his name, and I can't find the string, so I'm not sure how best to correct the mistake other than starting a new string.

Amanda,
Probably the automatic trimmer of bonsaihelp has removed that post. If a post does not have a new reply after 90 days they are removed from the server to save space. But I agree, my junipers tend to dry out some leaves and drop them. My belief is that they do so to keep other more blush areas trivving during the adverse conditions of the summer heat.
