Hi,
I bought meself 2 trees today.
I finally went for a fukien tea. The other tree is a little fig I got from abroad too.
The fukien tea is giving some flowers and more is comming on the way. The temp outside is 19deg celcius. I read they will give berries but have not seen them here. I gave it a good trim and removed all the excess compost.
My new elm as well is growing nicely, I will give it a good trim afterwards since I want to take some small cutting from it.
The little fig is budding too, it has just been re-potted. Do you know how to create such figure from a tree? What is the training/technique required to make the root grow bigger than the trunk?
My guess would be to tighten the trunk and growth concentration will be on the roots? Is that right?
I want to give it a try since this type of ficus is availaible here and I got 3 of them wild growing on a wall!
Cheers
JB. |
