drying out bonsai.....Please help!!!

Hi there! I'm new to site Very Happy

, I have a five year old juniper which is usually in good health, And just recently the greenery on its branches are starting to dry out and crumble, I have watered it daily and i always give it a morning mist, But still seems to be not helping! Sad

What would i do to prevent this? And is my poor bonsai slowly dieing?

There must be something that you are doing or have missed doing to have the tree become so brittle. Did you miss any watering? Is the tree indoors? Is it in full sun? The more details you can provide the easier it will be to help you out.

I am also guessing it is indoors. Move it outside into a mostly shady spot and keep the soil just moist. It may already be too late but hopefull your tree will recover in time. If it doesn't go out and buy three more. It helps soothe the pain. Wink

By sounds of things i have kept my little tree inside for to long! Crying or Very sad

It would usually sit on the counter in room temperature and i would water it everyday without fail.. I now have moved it outside to more of a shady spot. I am hoping that my little baby will recover as it was a valentines gift to me Laughing

I also used a small amount of all purpose plant food sometime ago and it was soon after that i noticed the change in its coloring Crying or Very sad

I live in the northern east coast of the US (NH). Now that i have moved my tree outside when would be a good time to start moving it back indoors as the fall and winter is on its way? I'm am wondering if tap water has had any effect on it as there is choline,lime and assorts of things in water these days to purify it. Thanks for all your help. Cool

Outside is the place for it at all times. Don't feed it any more until it shows positive signs of recovery.
Collected rainwater is the best but failing that, allow your mains water to stand out near to your tree for at least 24 hours before using it. This will allow most of the unwelcome additions to dissipate before use and allow it to assume the same temperature as your tree. Keep the medium just moist at all times.

This may be nit picking but you're showing a new zeland flag and you live in new hampshire. The reason I'm bringing this up is we may not all be able to remember where you live from time to time and we can refer to the flag to give a regional aproximation of advice. Not only are you showing a different country but also a different hemisphere and care is completely different at this time of year there. Hope I didn't seem rude just wanted to explain things a little.
