I started a new thread regarding the re potting of an Azalea. I have had an email to say someone has replied to the thread but when I click on it it says that I have to be a member of Bonsai School. There is now no sign of my thread in talk bonsai. Can anyone tell me where it has gone and why it has gone. It is not much help to me if I can't access it.
Thanks

it is now placed under "maintenance" and you will need to sign up as a full member to see it.

Well that's a bit off I started the thread for advice and now unless I shell out £20 I can't have the help I asked for. Seems a little unfair to me.

| To me it seems just a bit unfair to move a non-member's thread away from Talk Bonsai while the discussion is ongoing, as this appears to coerce a person into membership, possibly agains their will. On the other hand, we all can sympathise with the thread being moved to its "proper" place. Perhaps it should be moved back to TB until the thing can be resolved? SJ. |

| Don't know whats gone wrong here but I've just done a copy and paste and sent you the thread in a pm. Answers aren't much use to a person if he can't read them!! |

Thank you Daryl. Have now read the replies and thanks to all for your help.
SJ - Why wouldn't Talk Bonsai be a proper place for that thread? On the index page it says, and I quote
"Talk Bonsai
Introduce yourself and ask for help with your bonsai!"
All I did was ask for help.

Toni, I was just trying to support your position. So long as you aren't a full member, I think it isn't really fair to move your thread to another heading. I was arguing that it should go back to where you could get at it.
But it isn't under my control - I'm just another member.

Sorry I didn't mean to make it sound like I was having a go at you John. I am certainly not. I am just a little puzzled as to why the thread has been moved.
On a better note, I have now ordered some suitable soil (can't remember what it is called, flippin'newbies eah!), and next week hopefully I will re-pot the Azalea. I will take it to my new garden shed which is super tidy and work on it in there whatever the weather throws at us next week
Can I use the superthrive on it?
Regards

Toni,
It never hurts to use super thrive, you can use it all year round if you want. It is not a fertilizer. It is a tonic of sorts with much needed vitamins, minerals, and hormones. If you have it then use it. You only really need a couple of drops per gallon. Putting in any more doesn't seem to make any difference. The only time I use more is when I re pot. I use a full cap full when doing this. A little hint about making a bottle last longer, use some sort of eye dropper to measure only two or three drops. Eye droppers are available in most pharmacy sections of any store. I used to measure a few drops in the cap but you end up with a crusty accumulation on the top of the bottle over time. |

I have a small syringe that measures up to 1ml s it is ideal.
I will use it when I re-pot my azalea then.
