Hello all!

I have a 2.5 year old bonsai that I keep inside, in a window all the time.. (I don't know what kind of tree it is...) I water it whenever it seems like it's dry. I have noticed mold in the soil and the needles are starting to turn brown! I don't know what to do! I tried some fertilizer (Miracid 30-10-10) but it doesn't seem to be helping...

Here are some photos of my tree and the problem:

The tree you have is a juniper.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the problem is that it's dying. What you are doing is growing an outdoor tree indoors and that can never work, even with junipers that can grow for a longer periods indoors, but eventually need to go outdoors for a lot of reasons. I would say that you are probably going to lose the tree, but if you place it outdoors, give it good water and light (not direct sunlight at this point), and a lot of TLC, it might revive and in a couple fo years it might start to resemble what it once was.

A big thing now will be to stop all fertilizing of the tree until it starts to get healthy again. Fertilizer will actually hurt the tree at this point.

Sorry for the news. You chan check the A-Z forum for more specific information about junipers and their care.
